First Seed Scholarship Program Application
UPDATE:
The First Seed Scholarship Application will be open for each of the 2013 Ten Days trips. Recipients will be determined for each trip individually. The application will remain open for applicants to continue to apply for trips later in the year.
Scholarships will be awarded as we approach trip deadlines.
Which trips will be awarded scholarships?
Each Ten Days mission experience based out of North America in 2013 has at least 2 scholarships alloted for participants. Ten Days trips based out of Asia are not part of the scholarship program. Please see the Trip Page for a list of our upcoming 2013 trips.
Who is eligible for a scholarship?
Anyone who has not previously been on a Ten Days trip is eligible for a scholarship.
How much will my scholarship be?
All international Ten Days trip scholarships will be for $500 (Johannesburg, Santa Cruz, Lima, Baja, Carries). All domestic trip scholarships will be for $250 (Chicago, Midland, Cincinnati). Fundraising is meant to be a part of the Ten Days experience so that you can invite others to join in the mission with you. Therefore, the scholarship is meant to be an assistance, but it is not meant to pay for the entire trip.
What do I need to do?
Please fill in all fields below to be considered as a recipient. Incomplete forms will not be eligible.
Scholarship recipients are expected to provide to Ten Days upon return from the trip 50 high-quality photos from the experience (meaning, the photos are at least 1MB each or larger) as well as a personal testimony in writing with an accompanying picture of the participant to be used in Ten Days communications.
When is the 2013 deadline?
Deadlines will be determined per trip. Scholarships will be announced 1 month prior to trip departure.
How will I know if I won?
Scholarship recipients will be announced on the Ten Days website and notified via email once the committee votes. Recipients will be finalized 1 month prior to departure of the trip.
